Research and development (R&D) at ChemGenex is focused on developing novel targeted medicines for chronic diseases which have a genetic component exploitable as a drug target or where genetic differences between patients offers the opportunity to stratify patients for better clinical outcomes. By using our deep understanding of disease pathways we are able to identify more specific drug targets. By focusing on more specific targets and leveraging the genetic differences between patients we seek to increase efficacy, reduce side-effects and increase the likelihood of clinical trial success. Our goal is to develop a deep sustainable pipeline of new more targeted medicines.
