Stragen Pharma, a unit of Stragen group, is a private pharmaceutical company specialized in the pharmaceutical generic activity.

Stragen Pharma has almost 20 years experience in the development, manufacturing and registration of special generic products. Over the past few years, Stragen Pharma has successfully developed its expertise in selecting "niche" products and obtaining the first marketing authorisations in European countries. Stragen Pharma's strength in R&D and regulatory affairs is complemented by a successful distribution network across Europe that has enabled it to market products directly and through licensing agreements with the leaders of the generic industry.

Stragen Pharma has now a broad portfolio of injectable, oral and topical products across a wide range of indications in 6 main therapeutic fields: oncology, cardiology, infectilogy, rheumatology, gynecology and dermatology.

Stragen Pharma's strategic vision is to strengthen its position in the generic market and to grow a suite of original products for commercialization. The first of these is an original anti-leukemia drug, omacetaxine mepesuccinate (Ceflatonin^®) which Stragen Pharma will commercialize with its joint-venture partner, ChemGenex Pharmaceuticals within Europe.

• Omacetaxine (formerly Ceflatonin^®, homoharringtonine) is a small molecule therapeutic for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and solid tumors.
• Quinamed® (amonafide dihydrochloride) is a small molecule therapeutic for the treatment of prostate, breast and ovarian cancers.
• CXS-299 (DACH-Ac-Pt (IV)) is a small molecule platinum (IV) therapeutic recently licensed from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for the treatment of breast and prostate cancers.
